ZOEL began with two women, one shared dream, and a desire to create something the world had never tasted before. As two Indian women building their lives and careers in Europe, they carried with them a deep connection to their heritage — the traditions, flavors, and agricultural richness that shaped where they came from. At the same time, living in Europe exposed them to a culture equally rich in craftsmanship, especially one admired around the world: Belgian brewing.

They found themselves asking a question that sparked everything. Can we bring a piece of India into one of Europe's finest traditions? Not by imitation. Not by compromise. But by creating something entirely original.

The Connection of Two Worlds.

They looked back at one ingredient that had been part of Indian heritage for centuries — finger millet (Ragi). A grain deeply rooted in Indian culture, celebrated for its resilience, uniqueness, and character. Then they looked at Belgium, home to some of the world's most respected brewing traditions.

The idea became clear. Bring together the heritage of India and the craftsmanship of Belgium in a beer unlike anything the market had seen before. What followed was months of experimentation, learning, refining, and pushing boundaries.

The result became ZOEL. A premium Belgian ale crafted in Belgium, infused with Indian finger millet, representing the journey of two founders who believed innovation happens when cultures connect
